Party Pal — Privacy Policy

Party Pal ("the Extension") is a browser extension that helps you remember birthdays. We built it to be private by default: your data stays in your browser, and we do not operate a server that receives it.

Data the Extension stores

• Birthday entries you enter: name, date, and optional notes and photo URL
• Photos you upload from your device
• Your settings: notification preferences and theme

Where your data is stored

• Birthday entries and settings are stored in your browser via Chrome's sync storage. If you are signed into Chrome with sync enabled, Chrome may sync this data across your devices in accordance with Google's policies.
• Photos you upload are stored in your browser via Chrome's local storage. They remain on the device where you added them and are not synced.

What we do not do

• We do not operate a Party Pal server that receives your birthday list
• We do not sell or share your personal data
• We do not show third-party ads or include third-party trackers

Optional photo URLs

If you paste a photo URL instead of uploading a file, your browser will request that image directly from the host you specified when it is displayed. That request is between your browser and that host; it does not pass through us.

Permissions

• storage / unlimitedStorage — save your birthdays, photos, and settings on your device
• alarms — run a once-daily check for upcoming birthdays
• notifications — show desktop alerts when a birthday is near

Data deletion

You control your data. Deleting an entry removes it (and its photo) from storage. Removing the Extension deletes its local data; synced data is managed through your Google account's Chrome sync settings.
